Weblog

I've lived here 15 years and never took the double decker bus. Putting it on a list of things my 7 year old son and i want to do this summer made it possible. We still have a few more things we have to get off that list, but this one is crossed out! It was really fun actually, to see the city as a tourist.

I've updated the OmniGraffle Web Design Template for OmniGraffle 5 and the document is now being maintained at Konigi. Check it out, Grafflers.

Some of my favorite chicken dance moments on Arrested Development.

"Chee Chaw" (Season 2 Ep. 10).

"You're the chiclet." (Season 2 Ep. 3)

"Has anyone in this family ever even seen a chicken?" (Season 3 Ep. 1)

Text The Mob lets you do cool things like set up polls and message boards for instant feedback, so if you're doing something like giving a conference presentation, people can text their questions to the board or vote on something. Or imagine you're having a talent show people and letting the audience vote on the best performer on stage. Nice.

Mashable lists 35 companies that are actively pursuing connections with customers via social media.

I wrote an entry on Konigi about how I'm using Drupal's Taxonomy Module on that site. This is using Drupal version 5.x.

ThinkSimple Now's Jesse Hines' suggestions to bring clarity and efficiency to your writing are excellent. The 8 keys near the bottom of the entry are a great reminder to anyone who blogs, writes copy, or does the occasional article. I need constant reminders of these principles when doing blog entries, but especially if I have to do web site copy. Good stuff.

Hidden Pixels recently rounded up the available CSS frameworks into a list. I happen to be evaluating CSS frameworks as well to find a flexible system to provide on a CMS I'm working on. The Hidden Pixels list isn't very descriptive of the specific usage or value each framework has to offer, so I've provided a summary of each to make this a useful reference when evaluating the list.
