In "The Zen of Plagiarism" Dave spots this rip off of my CSS Zen Garden design. I don't think my submission is the most worthy of being copied, but the joker pirated it, graphics and all:

The guy didn't do anything interesting with the CSS. Hell, he didn't even attempt to align elements of the page after he removed some of the graphics that were specific to the Zen Garden text. I'm peeved that he just stole the graphic I spent a lot of time on. He can have the CSS (the header of the CSS files in the Zen Garden indicate that the CSS is free to use) but stealing a graphic that takes up so much real estate is just wrong, even though I would probably have given the graphic away if he had just asked me first.

If you're going to copy any of the Zen Garden examples, I would suggest only copying the CSS and making your own graphics. Better yet, deconstruct the CSS and learn from the strategy used and then start from scratch. Do something like this to make it your own.

Update: Within a few hours the design was removed, but not by my doing. I never contacted the guy.
