Some jackass in Virginia (66.65.119.9) left 165 trackbacks on my site with this content:
bq. TrackBack from My trackback spam:
Just proving to some people on why trackbacks are stupid and nobody should ever use them.
Thanks, jerkoff. I'm still going to leave trackback on because this is the first trackback spam I've received so far. Luckily they were all identical. If this happens to you, you can remove it pretty easily. Go to MySQL command line or use phpMyAdmin to execute a command like this one, assuming every trackback contains the phrase "trackback spam" in it.
bq. DELETE FROM `comments` WHERE comment LIKE '%trackback spam%'
What a stupid way to get your point across. I've set my autothrottle multiplier down a notch to 50, just in case. Soon we're going to have to force some authentication of the trackback sender.
